Vetiver scented candle

This beautifully chic bougie parfumée is simple in the most appealing way: in the words of founder David Samuelsson, it's philosophy is cut the excess. This method leaves only the most important part left, and what's left is pure, true, the essence of a scent and the essence of a poured candle.

The vetiver fragrance is a root pulled from the earth, carrying with it the memory of soil and smoke. It begins in darkness, mineral, grassy, dry, then shifts into a calmer register of amber and wood. The scent is at once grounding and elusive, a line drawn between the subterranean and the airy, between what clings to the ground and what drifts away.

Tangent GC’s Vetiver candle the TGC011 is composed of organic soybean wax, poured into brushed aluminium, a vessel as austere as it is enduring, fully recyclable. It burns for sixty hours, giving off not only light but a measure of stillness.

• Please be always careful with burning candle: never leave burning candle alone or in sole company of children or pets. Keep burning materials out of reach of the candle flame and place the candle on steady, even surface. Rather than blowing the candle out, use a candle snuffer to extinguish the flame as blowing can cause hot wax to splatter. Keep the wick trimmed to 5-6 mm. Burn the candle preferably minimum of 2 hours to prevent tunneling.
