Tip on choosing the right size for tablecloth: For a balanced look, choose a tablecloth that's about 40-50 cm bigger than the table. This means adding about 40-50 cm to both length and width of the tabletop. 20-30 cm on each of the sides is usually a good drop: the tablecloth's overhang looks nice without getting in the way when seated on the table. For exmaple, to a table that is 90x120 cm, choose a tablecloth measuring 140x170 cm, and for a table that's 110x180 cm, a tablecloth of 160x230 cm looks usually good and so on.
For a more generous, opulent or formal look, add 80 cm (or more!) to the length and width (drop or overhang 40 cm or more)
