Fique placemat, red lines

This lovely placemat has woven lines of red in natural beige. It's cheerful yet elegant in its charming simplicity.

These home accessories are handmade by craftswomen using the iraca weaving technique, typical of Colombian tradition.

The iraca, or toquilla straw, is a natural fiber that comes from the "Carludovica palmata", from whose leaves are obtained some fine threads that are dyed to give them color. Once dry, the artisans interweave the threads with the different colors to create our placemats.

Combine this stripey cutie with bright colours or use the red as a trendy accent colour to pop out from otherwise natural-hued table setting!
