Brutal, yet beautiful the vase 01 Cement FCK is almost an architectural object.

Using the language of beton architecture usually served for strictly utalitarian places like brigdes or underpasses, Frédérick Gautier brings brutalism to home. Shaped a cylinder with vertical ridges with a raw surface and powerful symmetry, this vase is both ugly and handsome at the same time, and fits minimalism and more expressive, maximalist look as well.

The juxtaposion with the vase crafted from cement and living, breathing beauty of fresh flowers or tree branches takes the simple vase to another level.

But as a standalone object of art, the vase 01 is a masterpiece by the French designer, too.
